Looking back at our class of 2023 Senior Sessions, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to meet and photograph all these amazing young people! This was our busiest year yet, as we had the privilege of photographing over 65 seniors this year! While it was busy, it was also extremely rewarding. These seniors are truly amazing! We love celebrating them and documenting this exciting moment in their lives.
In addition to capturing dozens of amazing seniors, we also had the privilege of visiting some of the most historic and beautiful places in Louisiana for these sessions. From the grandeur of Rosedown Plantation to the charm of Downtown Baton Rouge and Denham Springs Antique Village, and the vibrant energy of New Orleans, we had the best time traveling throughout the state and capturing these class of 2023 senior sessions!
Rosedown Plantation, located in St. Francisville, Louisiana, is a magnificent antebellum mansion built in the mid-1800s. The plantation is surrounded by 28 acres of picturesque gardens and is a popular spot for senior portraits. I love the variety in scenery found at Rosedown Plantation. The absolutely stunning backdrops include a plantation home, rock tunnel, an alleyway of ancient oak trees, gazebos, and acres of gardens. There is something for everyone here, which is why I love this location for senior portraits.
Downtown Baton Rouge, with its towering skyscrapers, high energy, and iconic landmarks is a popular destination for senior portraits, as it provides a variety of unique and vibrant locations for a photoshoot with a mix of urban and natural scenery. Whether our seniors preferred an urban vibe with brick walls and graffiti, a more sophisticated look at a historic building, or a natural setting at a bridge or a local park, we were able to find the perfect setting for their portraits!
Denham Springs Antique Village is a quaint and charming town located just east of Baton Rouge. The village is home to over a dozen antique shops, restaurants, and boutiques. This location exudes history and charm with its rustic architecture and vintage ambiance. One of the many reasons I love photographing in Antique Village is the ability to enjoy a downtown vibe without dealing with the hustle and bustle of a big city. Whether you’re looking for a scenic setting, or a fun and charming spot, Antique Village offers a variety of options to suit each senior’s individual style and capture the essence of small-town Louisiana.
Finally, New Orleans, with its vibrant culture and unique architecture, provided a perfect backdrop for senior portraits. The setting reflects the energy and spirit of Louisiana, offering endless possibilities for capturing unforgettable memories.
Looking back at the past year, we are grateful for the opportunity to photograph and get to know each of these seniors as they close out this final chapter of their high school career! We are so excited for the class of 2023 as they start a new chapter in life post-graduation! It was truly an honor to capture all these seniors and document this incredible milestone in their lives! We have no doubt that they will go on to do great things.
