As Southern Louisiana wedding photographers, we’ve seen some breathtaking weddings, but Gracie and Gage’s romantic Oak Lodge Wedding in Baton Rouge was truly special. From the stunning first look at Windrush Gardens to the fun-filled reception, this couple’s wedding day was full of love, joy, and unique touches that made it unforgettable.

One of the things I loved about this wedding was the couple’s decision to have a first look before the ceremony. First looks are great as it allows you to have a private moment together before all the wedding festivities begin and in the midst of a busy day. It is a moment to pause and savor the moment without feeling rushed. Gracie and Gage’s first look was a beautiful, emotional exchange that set the tone for the rest of the day. The garden setting was also the perfect backdrop for their romantic wedding portraits

Romantic Oak Lodge Wedding

Speaking of the day, can you believe it was in December and 75+ degrees all day? Southern Louisiana weather can be unpredictable, but this couple lucked out with a gorgeous day for their winter wedding. The burgundy and gold color scheme was perfect for the season, and the bride’s DIY wedding invitations added a personal touch to the decor.

Of course, no wedding is complete without some fun favors for guests to take home. Gracie and Gage chose koozies made by Aimee Doty and designed by the bride herself, as well as hot chocolate bags. The personalized touches from their wedding and thoughtful wedding favors were a hit with the guests and a perfect way to end the night.

But the highlight of the wedding, in my opinion, was the reception. Gracie, Gage, and their friends and family danced the night away and truly celebrated their love. It was clear that this group knew how to have a good time and cherish every moment.

It was an honor to be a part of Gracie and Gage’s beautiful Oak Lodge Wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
